This was a super villa to stay in with spacious rooms and modern furnishings. Great walk in showers which were great after a hot day away or around the pool. My husband likes to relax with a nice cool beer and bit of tv at end of day but very limited channel choice on offer. Air con was little warm when we arrived but after a couple of hours it seemed to cool down which was great to escape into with the weather been in the 90's outside. Good supply of towels and bedding and loads of room for clothing in all rooms. We never used the BBQ or boat but both looked appealing and the location of the villa backing onto a wonderful wide canal style waterway was brilliant. The in- and outside of property was very clean. I like to be honest with reviews so I would consider this villa if I was ever to return to the beautiful area of Cape Coral. Many thanks Sharon
Just back from a week long stay here. Great villa, great location. Facilities were good, lovely pool area with BBQ and outdoor dining. There is a boat lift on the canal at the bottom of the garden, and we rented a boat for a few days from the property management company ( an absolute MUST do experience ). Nice people to deal with and a good base for a stay in the area.
Two of us spent 9 nights at Villa Romantic late in May with a 24' Hurricane Boat for a week. We are both in our mid 50's, from the UK and have rented houses all over the World at least twice a year for the past 25 years or so.
---- House ---- Words cannot do justice to how good Villa Romantic actually is. It is a fantastic property in a stunning peaceful location about a minute from the Caloosahatchee River and both my wife and I agreed that it is the best property we've ever rented by quite some margin. The decor and fittings are truly top class and the owners have thought of just about everything from plush bedding and towels to bicycles, huge washers and driers, an amazing kitchen and even lilo's for the pool etc., the Tiki hut is a great place to sit with a drink, either early morning or late afternoon, and watch the dolphins swim by and the large pool and spa are just breathtaking. Both the owner Hans and local property manager Ralph were so helpful and made everything really straightforward. Even with Hans in Germany, Ralph in Florida and us in the UK, the whole process couldn’t have been easier. We would give the house a 7 * rating if we could.
---- Boat Rental ---- We rented the boat direct through the owner from Sunstate Yachts, again all really straightforward, and it was already waiting for us in the boat dock when we arrived. Ralph, who many have included in their reviews, is also the agent for Sunstate Yachts and he personally took us out for the boat handover which was a really great couple of hours, he is a really nice chap. We had a truly fantastic week with the boat, anchoring off stunning beaches and visiting great waterside bars and restaurants etc. and the villa itself is in such a perfect location for a boat ... Five minutes from boat dock to the intercoastal and just 15 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico.
---- Conclusion ---- Wow! The house is simply magnificent and, when renting a boat also, the whole vacation is just perfect with so much beauty and tranquility literally on the doorstep. You really do get the whole Cape Coral experience.
Recommended 100% by us with or without a boat.
